AMC8 (American Mathematics Competition 8) is a national middle school math contest for students in grade 8 and below, designed to promote problem-solving and mathematical reasoning. It consists of 25 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 40 minutes, covering topics from algebra, geometry, number theory, counting, probability, and more. The AMC 8 encourages students to apply creative thinking and logical strategies beyond the standard school curriculum, helping to identify and inspire young talent in mathematics while preparing them for more advanced competitions like the AMC 10/12 and the AIME.
